How to add the Jumbee bookmark-widgets to Firefox
This howto explains how to add the Jumbee Bookmark widgets to you FireFox Browser.
In the FireFox (FF) menubar, select the Bookmarks-menu. In this menu, click the Organise bookmarks menu-option to open the Firefox Bookmark Manager.
You will see a new window pop up. In this window, on the left-hand side, click Bookmarks. In the window on the right-hand side, you will see a folder named Bookmarks Toolbar Folder.
If this folder is minimized, click the [+] richt next to it to maximize the folder.
You will now see all bookmarks currently stored in your Bookmark Toolbar. As you are about to use Jumbee.net to manage your favorites/bookmarks, you can remove all bookmarks from the Bookmarks Toolbar.
To remove the bookmarks stored in you Bookmarks Toolbar, perform the following steps for each of the bookmarks within the folder:
- Select a bookmark in the folder
- Left-click the Delete-button
The image above shows what your Bookmarks Toolbar should look like once all bookmarks are removed from your it.
You can now close the Firefox Bookmark Manager.
Note: as you may want to import old bookmarks (stored in your browser) into your Jumbee Userspace, we advice not to remove any other bookmarks just yet.
Next, make sure the Firefox Bookmark Toolbar is enabled, as you will need it to add the Bookmark-widget.
In the FireFox (FF) menubar, select the View-menu. Next, open the Toolbars submenu and open this menu as well.
If the Bookmarks Toolbar menu-option is checked, continue with the next step of this howto.
If it is not yet enabled, simply click on the Bookmarks Toolbar menu-option to enable the Bookmarks Toolbar. You will see a grey toolbar appear right under the Navigation Toolbar in your Firefox window.
Open the Jumbee.net Favorites webpage (click here to open).
Note: make sure to log in before continuing.
In the Jumbee-submenu, go to the My Bookmarks menu and select the Add bookmarks submenu.
Notice the 2 Jumbee-images in the Auto-post bookmarks field, named Post to Jumbee.net and Go to Jumbee.net.
For both images, perform the following steps:
- Right-click on the images you want to add. A floating menu will appear.
- In this menu, click on Bookmark this link. A new window named Add bookmark will appear.
- In this window, change the Create in-field to Bookmarks Toolbar (see next image).
- After selecting Bookmarks Toolbar, left-click the OK-button
As you can see, the Jumbee Bookmark-widget is now present in the Bookmarks Toolbar of your Firefox browser.
